Myjai Sanders gets selected 100th overall in the NFL Draft by the Arizona Cardinals

Myjai Sanders waited all night Friday night to see if he would hear his name called on night two of the NFL Draft. They made him sweat, but with the 100th pick of the NFL draft, the Arizona Cardinals selected him to beef up their defensive line. He was impressive all year with his presence in the backfield and the amount of pressure he was able to put on the quarterback. Sanders might not have had the stats to back it up, but watching him in person or film NFL teams could see the presence he had in his career.

Sanders earned First-Team All-AAC honors for a second straight season, as well a Reese’s Senior Bowl invite, also named to PFF’s All-AAC First Team, fought through double-teams and chips to produce 34 tackles, 6.5 of which for loss, with 2.5 sacks and five break-ups. He was a force behind a defense that ranks No. 1 nationally in pass efficiency allowed (100.47), fourth in opponent completions (53.5 percent), third in interceptions (18), fifth in TD passes allowed (10), and No. 3 in passing yards allowed (168.3).

Myjai will join forces with JJ Watt and a very scary Arizona defense in hopes of getting the Cardinals in the playoffs for the second year in a row. Myjai becomes the 5th Bearcat selected in the second night of the NFL draft as he follows Alec Pierce, Desmond Ridder, and Bryan Cook. Congrats Myjai and go kill it this year!
