The Cincinnati Bearcats 2022 NFL Draft class set a program record on Saturday with nine Cincinnati Bearcats selected. The 9th Bearcat to be selected in the draft was defensive tackle Curtis Brooks. Brooks will be pairing up with his former Bearcat teammate Alec Pierce in Indy after the Colts used their 6th-round pick on him at 216th overall.
Brooks exploded on the scene for the Bearcats in his sixth season, earning First-Team All-AAC honors by leading UC with 12.5 TFL and 7.5 sacks. Brooks was a major enforcer on the interior as he had 10.5 TFL and 4.5 sacks in his previous two years. Led by Brooks, Cincinnati had 39 sacks, which ranked No. 2 in the AAC and No. 18 in the country Brooks wrapped up a five-year career with 162 tackles, 23 TFLs, and 12 sacks over 60 games.
