Today, four star cornerback Jermaine Mathews, Jr. announced his Final 6 schools. His Final 6 are: LSU, Jackson State, Penn State, Oklahoma, Ohio State and Cincinnati. Mathews, Jr. has a commitment date set for July 1st. The Cincinnati native plays for Winton Woods High School and his teammate Cam Calhoun just recently committed to the Bearcats.
Per 247 Sports Composite rankings he is the 373th player in the nation and 9th in Ohio. 247 has him labeled as an athlete, but most say he’s the best cornerback in the state.
Will Mathews, Jr. be a Bearcat? I don’t know, but the crystal balls have it currently between OSU and UC. We shall see July 1st.
