The Bearcats are coming off a historical season where they became the first “Group of Five” to reach the College Football Playoff, where they fell short to Alabama in the Cotton Bowl in a heartbreaking 27-6 loss. The Bearcats lost nine players from that historical team to the NFL Draft this past April and one big name was running back Jerome Ford who was drafted by the Cleveland Browns. Ford led the running back room in 2021 where he rushed for 1,319 yards on 215 attempts, while finding the end zone 19 times during his junior season.
