4 star DE Kavion Henderson has UC in Top 5

Earlier Today, 2024 defensive end prospect Kavion Henderson announced his Top 5 schools that included Georgia, Arkansas, Cincinnati, Auburn and Oklahoma. Henderson, a 6-foot-3, 235 defensive linemen in the class of 2024, attends Leeds High School, in Leeds, Alabama. According to 247 Sports, Henderson is currently ranked the 195th player in the class of 2024, where he is currently ranked the 9th best player in the state of Alabama. Henderson is also rated the 17th ranked defensive lineman in the class of 2024, where he holds offers from nearly 40 schools including schools like Notre Dame, USC, Georgia, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Oregon, Michigan, Michigan State, Miami, LSU and more.

The Bearcats have a history as of late when it comes to developing defensive lineman and we saw the recent years where they saw Myjai Sanders, and Curtis Brooks, who heard their names called in the 2022 NFL Draft as a part of a historical class for the Bearcats. However, seeing a talented prospect like Henderson list the Bearcats in his Top 5 is what Bearcat fans should start to get accustomed to as the Bearcats are making the transition to the Big 12 in 2023, fans are really starting to take notice on what the Bearcats are doing, and it all starts on the defensive side of the ball, as that is something people have started to take notice is that Luke Fickell and staff are prioritizing that defense first, and as many coaches say, defense wins championships. Henderson has been able to see a great amount of success and veteran leadership on the defensive line in particular seeing the careers for guys like Malik Vann, Jowon Briggs, Jabari Taylor, Myjai Sanders, Curtis Brooks and Marcus Brown to name a few over the last two seasons, is a big-time announcement for the Bearcats as they will look to add a young playmaker on the defensive line in four star defensive linemen Kavion Henderson.
