Razorback Defense
Bumper Pool, linebacker
Bumper Pool will be a guy the Bearcats offense will want to focus on. Pool last year had over 100 total tackles on the year and is on pace to break the Razorback’s record for most tackles in a career. He was named a First Team All-SEC player and is known to wreak havoc in the defensive backfield. Pool has posted two 100+ seasons in a row and led all Razorbacks in tackles last year. Also had 7.5 tackles for loss and comes in with 349 tackles in his career which is good for 9th most in Razorback history. Pool will be all over the field for the Razorbacks on Saturday. So, whoever is in the backfield for the Bearcats will have to pay very close attention to him.
Jalen Catalon, safety
Another tough piece to their defense Jalen Catalon is a very tough safety who had 46 tackles last year before injuries derailed their season. He was named a Preseason All-American and has been named a team captain for the Razorbacks this year. The Bearcats will have to be careful with Catalon who has all the potential to wreak havoc in the secondary when healthy.
