BREAKING: Ben Bryant gets the nod at quarterback at No. 19/23 Arkansas

The story coming into this season would be, who would replace Desmond Ridder, would it be Evan Prater or Ben Bryant. Bryant, who started his career at Cincinnati before transferring to Eastern Michigan for the 2021 season, is coming off a season where he threw for 3200+ yards during his one year as a starter, before announcing this spring he was coming back to the University of Cincinnati as he would compete for the starting job with redshirt sophomore and former four star recruit Evan Prater.

Bryant, looks to have won the starting job after a strong camp heading into his senior season, however, take note that Bryant technically has two years of edibility left due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Braynt is stepping into a huge test for his first start of the season, as the Bearcats made the trip to Fayetteville, Arkansas to kick off the season vs a very tough Arkansas tam who comes into the season ranked No. 19 in the coaches poll.

Bryant, is looking to lead the Bearcats to a huge win here in Fayetteville on the road, and it will be interesting to see how the Bearcats attack a very tough Razorbacks defense in front of a sold of crowd of roughly 75,000 fans. If it was me, look for the Bearcats to establish the run game early that way Ben can get his feet wet as the SEC faithful will be bringing the noise for the Bearcats first drive.

Bryant beat out redshirt sophomore Evan Prater for the starting job, coming off a season where he threw for over 3000 yards in his lone season at Eastern Michigan, is looking to lead the Bearcats to a huge win on the road to start the season.
