Wiggins had a stellar career as a Bearcat where he was named a first team All-American by the Athletic, 2nd Team AP All-American. During Wiggins standout senior season in 2020 he overcame a season ending ACL injury the season prior in 2019, but bounced back and showed why he was one of the top defensive backs in all of college football, as he was a Thrope Award Semifinalist, which is given to the best defensive back in the nation, He was also tabbed to the first team All-AAC after finishing his senior season with 32 tackles, one interception, and a forced fumble. Wiggins has been a key vocal point in the development of the defensive backs as himself and guys like Darrick Forrest really set the tone for the Bearcats defense over the last few seasons and played key roles in development in guys like Sauce Gardner, Coby Bryant, Bryan Cook, who all joined Wiggins in the Bearcat secondary during the 2020 season where the Bearcats would make their first New Year’s 6 bowl game since the 2009 Sugar Bowl.
