Bearcats’ Vann and Pauling both out with significant injuries

Justin Williams of The Athletic reported that Luke Fickell reported on his weekly radio show that defensive lineman Malik Vann and wide receiver Will Pauling will be out against Miami of Ohio and will be out significant time.

Both were hurt in the Kennesaw State game, Vann is a super senior who suffered a torn pectoral muscle which could possibly keep him out the rest of the season. Pauling a redshirt freshman who was getting solid playing time suffered an MCL injury that will keep him out multiple weeks.

Vann and Pauling will be big losses on both sides of the ball. The positive side is the Bearcats have good depth on both sides, but some will be less experienced. Hopefully both will be able to heal, but from the information given Vann’s injury is more significant. TFON will keep you in the loop more information.
