Today Bearcats punter Mason Fletcher was named AAC Special Teams Player of the Week after a dominating performance versus Miami of Ohio where he recorded five punts for 241 yards, where he averted 48.2 yards per punt, including a career high 67 yard punt early in the game.
Fletcher now leads the American Athletic Conference as the 6-foot-7 punter averages 48.0 yards per punt and continues to play a huge role for the Bearcats on special teams with his ability to boot the ball down field. Fletcher broke his previous career high which he set the week before with a 64 yard punt versus Kennesaw State last week.
Fletcher arguably one of the top punters in all of college football was also just named to the Ray Guy Award Watch List given to the best punter in America after his dominant preformance versus Miami of Ohio.
