University of Cincinnati head men’s basketball coach Wes Miller has announced that Chad Dollar has been promoted to associate head coach ahead of the 2022-23 season.
“I’m proud to announce that we’ve elevated Chad Dollar to the role of Associate Head Coach,” Miller said. “His combination of knowledge, experience and work ethic has had a significant impact on UC Basketball over the last year. I believe our program will benefit with Coach Dollar in an increased role.”
Dollar, a native of Atlanta, joined Miller’s inaugural Bearcats staff as an assistant last spring after three seasons at Georgia. While in Athens, he recruited and coached Anthony Edwards, the first overall pick of the 2020 NBA Draft. Three of his previous assistant roles were at South Florida (2017-18), Auburn (2016-17), where the Tigers’ 18 wins in 2016-17 were their most since 2008-09, and Georgia Tech (2011-16).
UC also previously announced former center Abdul Ado’s appointment to graduate assistant, as well as its full schedule that features 18 home games starting Monday, Nov. 7.
