Per GoBearcats:
Cincinnati men’s basketball graduate student David DeJulius was named to the AAC’s Preseason Second Team, and the Bearcats were picked third as announced by the league on Wednesday.
DeJulius was a Third-Team All-AAC selection last season and the only Bearcat to start all 33 games. He led the team in scoring with 14.5 ppg, in addition to a 15.9 clip in AAC play that ranked sixth. The Detroit native scored in double-figures 23 times to go with 10 games of 20-plus points and improved his three-point percentage by 9.6 percent.
In February, he scored a season-high 25 points against No. 6 Houston, followed by 24 and 23 at South Florida and Tulsa, respectively, to become the first UC player with three-straight 20-point games since AAC Player of the Year Jarron Cumberland in 2018-19.
Incoming Memphis transfer guard Landers Nolley II was named to the AAC’s Preseason First Team last year as well.
