The Cincinnati Bearcats had to travel on the road to take on one of the top offenses in the American Athletic Conference in the SMU Mustangs. The Mustangs came into the contest averaging over 30 points a game. The Bearcats offense knew it was going to have to put some points to get out of Texas with a win. The Bearcats did just that.
