Bearcats TE Coach Nate Letton collects AFCA Honor

Per GoBearcats:

Cincinnati tight ends coach Nate Letton is slated to participate in the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) 35 Under 35 Coaches Leadership Institute at the 2023 convention. Lamb was chosen from a pool from a field of over 150 applicants.

The AFCA 35 Under 35 Coaches Leadership Institute is a prestigious program aimed at identifying and developing premier, future leaders in the football coaching profession. Selected participants are invited to attend the one-day institute that features a curriculum of interactive lectures focused on topics specifically tailored to emphasize leadership in the coaching profession, ethics, influential responsibilities, career progression, and family balance.

Letton served as the Bearcats’ tight end coach in 2022 after two years as an offensive graduate assistant.

He mentored Josh Whyle, who wrapped up his career as one of the greatest tight ends in school history, grabbing 15 touchdowns – a school record for a tight end. He was also named to the Senior Bowl.

Whyle and senior classmate Leonard Taylor combined for 50 catches and five touchdowns.

The Bearcats have gone 31-5 in three years with Letton on staff, which ranks among the top records in the nation since the start of 2019.
