Earlier this afternoon former Temple Owls forward/center Jamille Reynolds announced his Top 5 schools after entering the transfer portal following the conclusion of the season. Reynolds listed his Top 5 schools in Cincinnati, Central Florida, Kansas, Mississippi State and South Carolina. Reynolds, will be on his third school in as many years, after starting his career with Central Florida where he spent his first two seasons, before transferring to Temple ahead of the 2022 season.
Reynolds, a 6’10” forward had his best season of his career in his lone season with the owls, where he saw a career high in minutes (21 minutes per game), field goal percentage (60%), and was a huge piece for the Owls this season averaging 10.1 points and 5.4 rebounds per game. Reynolds, a guy that was drawing a lot of interest since entering the transfer portal following the end of the season. Reynolds, a 6’10”, 285-pound big man was a huge physical presence for Temple and shown what he is capable of, and for the Bearcats on the other hand, they got a great look at the big man in the teams three contests vs the Owls this season. Reynolds, had arguably his best games of the season towards the end of the season, including a big 17/5/5 performance vs Tulane right before the AAC Tournament where the Owls would fall just short 83-82. Reynolds last game in a Temple uniform just happened to be against the Bearcats, and he finished with 12/5 in the Owls 84-54 loss to the Bearcats in the AAC Quarterfinals.
Wes Miller and company are wasting no time getting involved in the transfer portal here in the early stages and they now sit and wait for Reynolds to make his decision. According to Dushawn London of 247 it looks like Reynolds is set to take his official visit to Cincinnati this weekend. A big-time target to keep an eye on as the transfer portal window dead period starts on the 15th.
