The Bearcats woman’s basketball team has endured a lot over the last few weeks after a coaching change where Katrina Merriweather steps in and replaces former Bearcat’s head coach Michelle Clark-Heard. Heard, had been the Bearcats head coach for the last five seasons and was the lead recruiter for Lojain Elfatairy in the class of 2021.
Sources told TFON that Elfatairy has decided to enter the transfer portal following the recent coaching changes at the University of Cincinnati. Elfatairy is originally from Giza, Egypt, where she decided to come join the Bearcats Woman’s basketball team the last two seasons where she appeared in 23 games. Elfatairy, scored just 13 points in those 23 games, however, Elfatairy didn’t see much action the past season as she appeared in just eight games for the Bearcats.
