The Bearcats saw three players drafted in the 2023 NFL Draft over the weekend, as well seven others signed to UDFA deals. However, late this evening former Bearcat linebacker Ty Van Fossen joined the former Bearcats in that category, after receiving an invite to the Indianapolis Colts Minicamp later this week. The former linebacker joins Jeremy Cooper (Chiefs) and Ja’von Hicks (Falcons) as three players with mini camp invites.
Van Fossen, has been a staple for the Bearcats defense for the last two seasons, wrapping up a career 188 tackles, (147 of those in the last two seasons). Van Fossen, blew onto the scene in 2021 where he appeared in 14 games tallying 69 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss and a sack. In 2022 he recorded 78 tackles in 13 games, along with 4.0 tackles for loss and two forced fumbles.
