The University of Cincinnati’s NIL Collective, Cincy Reigns and local Rhinegeist Brewery, announce a new beer partnership, introducing Cincy Light. Rhinegeist, the local brewery is currently the 23rd largest craft brewery in the country, which happens to be right down the road from the University of Cincinnati’s campus.
“We are thrilled to partner with Rhinegeist, a company that shares our passion for championing, the Cincinnati community and bringing people together around a cause,” said Brian Fox, Chair of the Cincy Reigns Board of Directors. “This one-of-a-kind collaboration will not only produce a delightful beer to fans to appreciate but also significantly impact the lives of the student athletes we serve along with the local charities we endorse. This partnership is a testament to our shared commitment to the Cincinnati community and our desire to support Cincinnati’s Power five program,” Fox added.
The new partnership will feature a new lager here at Rhinegeist called “Cincy Light” that will be available in all local retailers that currently sell Rhinegeist alcoholic beverages later this fall, which is right in time for the Bearcats inaugural Big 12 season. “This is a game changing partnership that can elevate the Bearcats to the next level as they transition to the Big 12
“We were excited from the start,” Adam Bankovich, Interim CEO of Rhinegeist Brewery said. “We sat down with Brian Fox, where they told us about Cincy Reigns and what they are looking to accomplish. This felt like something new that’s not out there, and we could bring to market, in a true, real authentic way, that would make a different in everything, to put Cincinnati on a better state.”
Cincy Light, a 4.2% light lager. The Cincy Light can feature the originally design of the Cincy Reigns logo, but the most important feature you may ask? A QR code on the back of each can, that drinkers will be able to scan that will take them directly to the collective’s website. A huge opportunity for drinkers to learn more about the University of Cincinnati’s NIL Collective in hopes of supporting these student athletes.
Rhinegeist announced their first partnership with the University of Cincinnati back in 2013 through Bearcat Sport Properties
As NIL continues to change the landscape within college athletics, it is worth noting that two dollars from each case will go towards the Cincy Reigns Collective, which is a substantial profit for the collective. A huge opportunity for the Bearcat faithful to get behind what Cincy Reigns and company are doing for these young student athletes.
