The Bearcats will be donning new threads this upcoming season and it’s a familiar look for most Bearcats fans to say the least. The new apparel deal is with BSN Sports, which will feature the Men’s and Womans basketball programs wearing Jordan Uniforms, while football and all other sports will be highlighted in Nike Uniforms for the inaugural Big 12 season starting July 1, per Justin Williams of the Athletic.
The Jordan era has officially returned to Clifton for the first time since 2006. A era that Bearcats fans know so much about, as memories of Kenyon Martin, Kenny Satterfield, Steve Logan, Dermarr Johnson and more come to mind. The last time the Bearcats wore Jordan which was 2006, Bob Huggins was at the realm of the Bearcats where he led the Bearcats to a final four, and developed multiple top NBA Draft picks.
The Bearcats have been wearing Under Armour for the last 8 years dating back to 2015 before having the contract bought out back in 2020 after an early termination clause was agreed upon between both parties. The originally Under Armour deal was slated to run through 2024 before the early termination agreement came into effect.
The Bearcats will now have a lot of memories to make at Fifth Third Arena, as many fans remember the last time the program wore the Jordan Apparel resulting in a final four run, led by then number one overall pick Kenyon Martin.
