This afternoon former Florida wide receiver Xzavier Henderson announced his commitment to the University of Cincinnati. Henderson, a 6’3″, 200 pound receiver recorded 38 receptions for 410 yards and two touchdowns during the Gators 2022 season.
Henderson, a former four-star prospect, and brother of current NFL Star CJ Henderson will come in and make an immediate impact for Scott Satterfield and the Bearcats later this fall. Henderson fills the shoes of Tarvarish Dawson who flipped his commitment to Deion Sanders and Colorado a couple weeks ago. Henderson, now joins transfers Sterling Berkhalter, Dee Wiggins and Donovan Ollie in that wide receiver room.
What drew Henderson to Cincinnati you may ask? Henderson was former teammates with quarterback Emory Jones, and defensive back Jordan Young during their time at Florida. Henderson was spotted with Young and defensive Back DJ Taylor earlier this week at the Black Student Athlete Summit out in Los Angeles.
This is a huge addition for Scott Satterfield and the Bearcats, as they are adding a veteran wide receiver with a lot of experience to a room that was depleted this past off season. Bearcats fans may get used to hearing his name come this season, due to his relationship with quarterback Emory Jones, who is slated to be the starting quarterback after Ben Bryant’s recent transfer to Northwestern.
