Neil’s defensive game balls in the Bearcats 20-6 loss to No. 16 Oklahoma

Ken Willis, star

Willis, made his first career start in place of Deshawn Pace, where he recorded a career high nine tackles and a tackle for loss in the Bearcats 20-6 defeat. However, for Willis he anchored the back end with Justin Harris, Bryon Threats and Taj Ward. “I am really proud of Ken Willis,” said Satterfield. “We threw him in the fire today, with his first start being vs Oklahoma. A team that’s averaging nearly 55 points per game and play extremely fast. He played a really solid football game. I thought he did a really good job, and it’s going to help us down the road certainly. To have him available, to be out there play and get some experience like he did today and get that experience vs a really high-powered offense.”
