2. Having John Newman III back indispensably helps
Newman brings so much to this team. Experience, defense and ability to drive baseline. Having him back increases the Bearcats versatility on both sides of the ball. And while he didn’t have a ton of numbers tonight on the stat sheet, he still made some impact plays including a two-hand stuff midway through the first half to ignite the Bearcats and the crowd inside Fifth Third Arena. Newman finished with six points on 3-of-5 shooting with three rebounds and two assists.
