This evening, Bearcats priority target Dee Alexander announced her Top 15 per her Instagram story and surprised some people with some Thanksgiving news. Alexander is currently ranked the number four overall prospect in the class of 2025 as she attends Purcell Marian High School right here in Cincinnati, which happens to be minutes away from the University of Cincinnati’s campus. Alexander has become a huge priority target for Katrina Merriweather and staff since coming to Cincinnati as they look to try and keep the local five-star prospect home here in Cincinnati.
Alexander has helped guide the Cavaliers to consecutive state championships in the last two seasons. Purcell Marian also just made program history as they were ranked the number 16th ranked team in the country last week and Alexander is a huge reason why. Alexander was also the reigning Ms. Ohio Basketball award winner given annually to the top player in the State of Ohio.
Alexander, was on campus for an unofficial visit back on September 23rd, as part of the Bearcats big recruiting weekend as the local five-star prospect took in the Bearcats first ever Big 12 football game. Katrina Merriweather and staff have continued to make it a priority to recruit the local Cincinnati area as Alexander has dominated the ranks since a young age for those who have followed her throughout her career.
Alexander, a 6’1” guard, can impact the game in many ways on both ends of the court. She is an elite three level scorer who plays the game so fluently. She can also impact the game tremendously on the defensive end as well and with her size and length at that guard position can really make it difficult for opposing players with her gritty defensive skillset.
For anyone in the Tri-State area who follow high school basketball defiantly knows who Dee Alexander is after gaining national attention starting nearly three years ago when she picked up her first scholarship offer. Flash forward to now, the local five-star prospect has received over 30 offers and quickly became one of the top high school players in the country.
Alexander’s final fifteen schools consist of Cincinnati, Tennessee, South Carolina, Notre Dame, USC, Iowa, Ohio State, UConn, Arizona, Texas, Illinois, LSU, Georgia, UNC and Virginia Tech.
