The Cincinnati Bearcats (8-2) welcome in Merrimack (5-6) to Fifth Third Arena for a 7pm tip-off as they look to get back in the win column after suffering a heartbreaking loss to Dayton over the weekend.
The Bearcats will be without two key starters for this one as Aziz Bandaogo and CJ Fredrick will be unavailable for tonight’s match up sources tell TFON.
Bandaogo exited the Dayton game early in the first half after being pushed on a lob attempt early in the first half where he was quickly checked out by Bearcats athletic trainer Bob Mangine near the end of the Bearcats bench before quickly returning to play. CJ Fredrick is also banged up with an injury sustained in the Dayton game, and he will not be available for the Bearcats as well.
The severity of the injuries is uncertain right now, but with the Bearcats quickly approaching conference play in just two weeks, the Bearcats are airing on the side of precaution here this evening vs a struggling Merrimack team.
TFON will provide updates when we know more surrounding the injuries of Aziz Bandaogo and CJ Fredrick. However, the Bearcats will be down two starters here tonight vs Merrimack as this will be a huge opportunity for Viktor Lakhin, Jamille Reynolds and Ody Oguama inside for the Bearcats vs a very small Merrimack team.
Tip-Off is slated for 7 pm here at Fifth Third Arena and we will have you guys covered with all of the latest updates surrounding tonight’s game.
