Moments ago, the Big 12 announced the 2024 football schedule, which is Cincinnati’s second year in the conference. Scott Satterfield and the Bearcats finished their first season in the Big 12 with a 3-9 record in 2023, However, they were just given the easiest strength of schedule according to 247 before the Schedule was announced this morning.
However, for the Bearcats they will have games against newcomers Arizona State, as well as Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffalos, which will mark their first season in the Big 12, after leaving the Pac-12 late last year.
Scott Satterfield and the Bearcats will kick off the season with consecutive home games vs Towson, and Pittsburgh, in non-conference play before they travel to Oxford, Ohio to take on Miami of Ohio, in hopes of regaining the Victory Bell after last year’s defeat to the Redhawks.
The Big 12 conference slate will feature matchups vs Houston (home), Texas Tech (away), Central Florida (away), Arizona State (home), Colorado (away), West Virginia (home), Iowa State (away), Kansas State (away), TCU (home). The Bearcats will also have two bye weeks through out the season slated for week 6, and 10.

Bearcats’ fans should feel great heading into the season with how the schedule played out in the Bearcats favor, as this time around, they won’t have to kick off the season vs a powerhouse in Oklahoma for their first Big 12 game, but in an opponent, they are very familiar with in Houston. That is a huge opportunity for the Bearcats especially after defeating the Cougars last season to pick up their first ever Big 12 victory.
Although, finishing with a 3-9 record last season, the Bearcats should be capable of rebounding with a six plus win season, which will make the bowl eligible based off how the schedule played out, in my opinion. However, the Bearcats will be traveling quite a bit this season across three time zones, hence the two bye weeks, but for the Bearcats fans that travel, which game are you guys looking most forward too heading into the 2024 season.
