Last weekend, three-star edge rusher Triston Abram was able to take an unofficial visit to Cincinnati as part of Cincinnati’s junior day on Saturday ahead of the Bearcats Men’s Basketball game vs UCF.
The 6’4″ 240-pound edge rusher attends Christain Brother College in Saint Louis, Missouri, where he is a member of the 2025 recruiting class. Abram has seen his recruitment start to take off after a huge junior season, where he has picked up offers from Cincinnati, Memphis, Toledo, Indiana, Kansas and more.
Abram, took some time to sit with TFON to discuss his visit to Cincinnati and where the Bearcats stand in his recruitment process.
“The visit to Cincinnati was good, this was my second visit, and I had nothing but good impressions about the University, “Abrams told TFON “I like how it was more focused this time around. The coaches and staff take their time to get to know you, they make you feel loved and welcomed. It’s like a family up there. Everything about the campus was amazing, from the players, coaches, staff, player living quarters, and the overall program. To be honest, all the coaches show love when I come up to Cincinnati and my family and I really appreciate that. I love what coach Satterfield and his staff are doing.”
Abram mentioned he was able to sit down with defensive line Coach Walter Stewart and spent some time getting to know each other. “Coach Stewart and I spent like an hour plus before the actual visit, where we went and did a 1-1 film session, and that was something that made me feel prioritized,” said Abrams.
The talented edge rusher continued to praise the job Stewart has done throughout his recruitment. “He’s been a great coach and up front with me and my family. He is a great communicator, and that’s the kind of stuff you look for in this recruiting process,” Abrams said. “He always checks up on me every other day when he can.
