Abrams told TFON that he had the opportunity to sit with new defensive coordinator Tyson Veidt while on campus and discussed those early conversations. “I was able to sit with coach Veidt and talk ball, it was really great to say the least. He came right up to me, and my family and during the photoshoot portion of the visit and our conversations continued, as we talked every single chance we had. I think it’s a good fit for the defense and it’s going to be special year coming.”
The talented edge rusher broke down his play style and game to TFON and what teams should expect from him at the next level. “For the coaches and analysts that haven’t watched my tape or have and don’t see I play with my hand in the dirt and still have the ability to change direction, make TFL’s, get sacks off the double team, let alone the single blocks. I would describe myself as the Top 10 edge rushers in the country. I’m under recruited because of my size (weight) but that’s fine I make plays on the field and have the most discipline and effort you’ll see on my tape and how I live my day-to-day life.:
Abram said he models his pass rush techniques from Maxx Crosby, with the finesse and power, mixed with some attributes from Detroit Lions star Aiden Hutchinson and Cowboys Edge Micah Parsons, where he said he uses his speed, and power to his advantage.
When thinking about Cincinnati University Abram’s said the first thing that comes to mind is the programs history of winning. “The first thing that comes to mind is winning. I know that program has always been top tier, but they are rebuilding,” Abrams told TFON. “For me, going to a program like that means I can change the demographic and as a team reach that top 25 Team list in the nation.”
What’s next for Abrams during this recruiting process?
Well, the current junior says he will be taking an unofficial visit to the University of Kentucky this weekend, which will be his final visit until after the NCAA dead period which ends March 3rd.
