The Cincinnati Bearcats are preparing to take on Kansas State in a must win scenario here tonight at Fifth Third Arena. However, they will do so without leading scorer Dan Skillings. Skillings was spotted in street clothes as the Bearcats participated in warmups where sources then told The Front Office News that Skillings is not expected to play tonight.
This is a huge game changer for this contest and could result in more minutes for Jizzle James, Josh Reed or Viktor Lakhin vs a guard heavy Kansas State team. Skillings leads the team in scoring (12 points) and rebounding (6) per game throughout his sophomore season and was poised for a big role in this contest. Skillings would have looked to potentially matchup with Kansas State forward Arthur Kaluma, who averages 13 points and seven-rebounds for the Wildcats.
