The University of Cincinnati women’s basketball team has been selected for the Women’s National Invitation Tournament (WNIT), the organization announced on Sunday night.
The Bearcats finished 14-17 under first year head coach Katrina Merriweather, improving by five wins from last year. UC was led by senior forward Jillian Hayes, who collected All-Big 12 Honorable Mention and averaged 12.8 points and 8.4 rebounds per game.
The official bracket with matchups and game times is set to be announced on Monday, March 18. The 2024 WNIT will feature 48 teams in a single-elimination championship format. The tournament is in its 26th year.
