Moments ago, Scott Satterfield and the Bearcats landed their 15th member of the 2025 recruiting class after offensive tackle prospect Jeremiah Kelly announced his commitment to Cincinnati via social media.
Kelly, a 6’3″, 300-pound offensive tackle prospect out of Avon High School was on campus earlier this week for a prospect camp where he picked up a Cincinnati offer following his performance at camp. Kelly a multi-sport athlete as he also has had much success on the mats as a top wrestler in the state of Ohio.
It is worth noting that Kelly, was high school teammates with Cincinnati freshman running back Jakorion Caffey where he anchored the offensive line allowing Caffey to have much success in the ground game.
“I’ve known Jakorion, since 2017 before he even played for Avon,” Kelly told TFON. “Jakorion is a great teammate, but an even better friend. It’s going to be nice being able to reunite with him at the next level, I’m excited.”
Kelly broke down his decision to commit to Cincinnati in an exclusive 1-1 below.
“I love the city of Cincinnati,” Kelly told TFON. “The coaching staff was amazing and treated my mom well and took care of the other players at the camp too. What made me commit to Cincinnati was the how fast the other commits contacted me and wanted me to join the Bearcat family. Cincinnati fans should expect me to give it my all on the field and become a great player for the University.”
Now for Kelly, he finished his junior season playing majority of his snaps on the defensive side of the ball before fully making the transition to the offensive side of the ball in the latter half of the season. Kelly broke down what that transition was like along with his relationship with Cincinnati offense line coach Nic Cardwell.
“Coach Cardwell took the time to make sure I was doing the drills right at camp and took the time to improve my technique,” said Kelly. “He also told me that he believes that I can make great strides on the offensive side of the ball and that was something that I really believed in.”
Nic Cardwell and the staff have made it a priority to go after this talented and bigger offensive lineman as they continue to try and bolster the offense line depth for the future. However, for those following the recruiting tape, Cincinnati has made it an emphasis to go out and target those long, physical and big offensive tackles, and some who have a very solid athletic background in other sports as well.
Kelly now becomes the 6th member of the 2025 recruiting class from the state of Ohio, but also the third offensive lineman joining Jahari Medlock and Samual Paich.
