Bearcats bring back Stowe as an asst. coach

Per GoBearcats:

Cincinnati men’s basketball head coach Wes Miller has announced that former graduate assistant Jaylen Stowe has returned to the Bearcats as an assistant coach.

“I’m excited to welcome Jaylen back to our staff,” Miller said. “He is a rising star in coaching. He’s always had a passion for helping players improve and it’s been impressive to watch that passion grow into other aspects of coaching. He will oversee our player development program and also serve as an assistant coach.”

Stowe was a GA for the Bearcats from 2021-23, Miller’s first two years, before landing his first full-time job as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at High Point. It was a memorable year for the Panthers, who with 11 newcomers won the Big South regular-season title and went 27-9, the winningest season in their Division I history. First-year head coach Alan Huss was the league’s Coach of the Year among several team postseason accolades.

Stowe, also a GA under Miller his final year at UNC Greensboro in 2020-21, played at SoCon rival Mercer from 2015-19. He averaged 10.5 points per game and started all 31 contests as a senior. He also played one season in the ABA for the Richmond Elite.
