Yeahhhh today College Football starts back up are you excited? Hell yeah you are, everybody who like football is. The itch will finally be scratched, I even went to see a few high school football games last weekend. We are back to highlight some games you should check out if you have some free time this weekend.
Thursday 8/30
#9 South Carolina @ Vanderbilt, 7 pm,ESPN– Vandy has a solid team they gave the Bearcats a good run for their money in the Liberty Bowl and they have Aaron Rodgers brother at QB. Yeah that has to count for something. The old ball coach has a horse in the backfield with RB Marcus Lattimore, he will be the steadying force while they adjust to life without Alshon.
Friday 8/31
#24 Boise St. @ #13 Michigan St., 8 pm,ESPN– Boise will have to deal with the loss of all world QB Kellen Moore and no other way to find out if they can be effective on offense then a game against the defensive minded Spartans. The Spartans look to send a message to the nation early against the Broncos.
Saturday 9/1
#14 Clemson @ Auburn, 7 pm, ESPN– After the slacking they took in the Orange Bowl the high powered Tigers will look to prove a point early. Auburn had a down season last year and will be looking to make a statement on national TV that last year was a fluke.
#8 Michigan vs #2 Alabama, 8 pm, ABC– This game is the biggest of the week. It’s only fitting that they are playing at Cowboy Stadium in Dallas, Texas. Bama lost a lot on defense and their best offensive players so their will be more question marks than people expect. The Wolverines are the definite underdogs but they have good firepower on offense if the Bama defense isn’t ready this game could be closer than expected..
I’m happy football is back let us know what games you will be watching and I hope the games we picked turn out to be as good as they seem on paper.
