It is official that the University of Colorado will be returning to the Big 12 after the 2023-24 season. They will be leaving the Pac 12 the same year as USC and UCLA will head to the Big Ten. It seems that Brett Yorkmark will be adding at least three more Pac 12 schools soon. It will be interesting to see who else joins, but as of now we know that Colorado will be returning after leaving in 2010 for the Pac 12.
University of Cincinnati athletic director John Cunningham released a statement after the news was official:
“We are excited to welcome the University of Colorado to the Big 12 Conference and look forward to competing against the Buffaloes. We appreciate Commissioner Brett Yormark’s vision for the future of the league. We are honored to be a member of a conference that continues to be on the forefront of innovation, academic achievement and competitive excellence.”
