I know it is early in the college football season, but there hasn’t been too many players more exciting than West Virginia’s Quarterback Geno Smith. Smith dazzled football fans by putting up Tecmo Bowl numbers against Baylor by scoring eight touchdowns to go along with 686 total yards. At this point of the season Geno Smith as 21 total TD’s and 0 interceptions, which is absurd. Smith’s numbers will fall just a bit as soon as conference play begins in the Big 12. Whether or not if Smith’s numbers fall he has done enough in the beginning of the season to widen his margin in the Heisman race.
Comparing Smith’s numbers to RGIII’s and Andrew Luck’s at this stage of the season Smith is leading in all categories. If the Mountaineers continue their winning ways along with Smith’s video game like numbers it will be no question that there will be Smith will be hoisting the Heisman trophy in New York at the end of the season.
