Ohio State Looks to Reclaim the Power in the Rivalry against Michigan

Urban Meyer took over a wounded football program that had many question marks before his arrival. With NCAA sanctions being the dark cloud over the program it was hard to predict the future forecast for THE Ohio State Buckeyes. Since taking over the program Meyer and the Bucks are 11-0, and are looking forward to end the season 12-0 by beating the school from up north.

This game is the Buckeyes national championship since there is no chance to play in a bowl game. With the Buckeyes losing last season to the Wolverine’s for the first time in eight years the players are ready for revenge in Saturday’s matchup. Meyer was a grad assistant under Earle Bruce in the late 1980’s, and is from Ashtabula, Ohio so he knows how much this games means in the state of Ohio. The Buckeyes are operating with the spread offense relying on a heavy dose of the running game, and there are also a few big play guys on the outside such as Devin Smith and “Philly” Brown. Braxton Miller has calmed down from his “XBrax360” plays in the past few weeks, but he will look to help dominate in the running and passing games.

Yes, it sucks that we cannot go to a bowl game, but if it weren’t for the trouble are in we would not have Meyer as our coach. It will be an electric atmosphere in Columbus. Jim Tressel will be present for the big game due to the 2002 National Champions being recognized so it will excite Buckeye Nation when they see the Sweater vest in sight.

Since 2006 the Ohio State Michigan game hasn’t really meant much due to overmatched teams and horrible coaches on both sides (Fickell & Rodriguez) so it will be great to see the rivalry come back to the national spotlight. I predict that my Bucks win 36-21 ending the season 12-0. Go Bucks! Let’s take care of the school from up north.
