It’s been a long week for X fans. First leading scorer Semaj Christon enters for the NBA Draft and now second leading scorer Justin Martin will transfer upon graduation in a few weeks. Rumors that Coach Chris Mack could be heading to California hit the waves also, but Coach Mack put an end to those rumors stating he was staying at Xavier.
Martin won’t have to sit out the 2014-15 season because he would be a graduate student at whichever school he picks. I wonder what made Martin decide to transfer. I know X has a great recruiting class coming in, but I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t have affected the playing time of Martin.
Martin averaged 11.7 points and 5.2 rebounds per game last season. I wonder which teams are on his trail. Whomever gets Martin will be getting a solid player with a year left of eligibility. Where will the senior be playing next year? We know it won’t at Xavier.
