Yesterday I wrote about how Cleveland should move on from the thought of LeBron returning and just focus on what they have already. I also stated how LeBron probably didn’t even like Cleveland anymore and that’s mainly because of Daniel Gilbert. With all that being said, it still doesn’t change my opinion on Cleveland being the best place for LeBron to play and here are ten reasons why LeBron should choose Cleveland.
10. It’s Home
Well actually Akron is home, but Cleveland ain’t that far. LeBron was born and raised in Akron and still owns a home there. So it’s an easy move.
9. Kyrie Irving
Right now in their respective careers Irving is a better number 2 than Dwyane Wade. Wade is on the way down and Irving is on the way up.
8. Bosh ain’t there
LeBron should go to Cleveland because Bosh is not in Cleveland. He has to be ready to get away from that guy.
7. Johnny Football becomes #2
Right now Johnny Manziel is the biggest thing in Cleveland, but if LeBron returns Manziel falls to number 2. Needless to say I’m not a Manziel fan.
6. Mike Brown ain’t there.
An inexperienced LeBron took a mediocre Brown coached Cavs team to the finals. Imagine what an experienced LeBron can do without the clueless Brown.
5. Wiggins?
Andrew Wiggins is a huge mystery. Some regarded him as the next LeBron James. Others question his aggression on the court. The possibility of seeing the current LeBron James playing with the next LeBron James is too intriguing. That’s like if the Bulls would have drafted Kobe Bryant in ‘96.
4. Waiters.
Dion Waiters is one of those rare players that believes they’re the best players on the court no matter who else is on the court , yet, everyone else knows they are not. I can’t wait to watch Waiters stall out LeBron on an iso to win the game.
3. Chance for Love
Kevin Love already announced he would sign an extension with Cleveland if LeBron were there. Cleveland will also have one of the best packages to offer Minnesota. At lot of young guys with potential in Dion Waiters, Tristan Thompson, and Anthony Bennett. All former top 5 picks under the age of 25. You could throw in Anderson Varajeo in the trade as well. And Cleveland could sport a starting five of Irving, James, Wiggins, Love, and whatever seven ft statue you want to add and they would be hands down the best starting five in the league and potentially the best starting five ever.
2. James vs Wade
It’s safe to assume that Dwyane Wade opted out of his contract to help the heat sign free agents and most importantly allow LeBron to get the max. So if LeBron leaves then Chris Bosh will probably leave and Wade can either stay in Miami all alone or sign with someone else for way less than he could have made by staying in his contract. I can imagine that either option would leave Wade extremely pissed at LeBron. I can’t wait until that Christmas match between Heat and Cavaliers.
1. It’s Home
Yeah I know number one is the same as number ten, but let me elaborate. Cleveland is a town starving for something great to happen sports related. The Indians haven’t won a championship since 1948. The Browns have never won a Super Bowl. The Cavaliers are the Cavaliers. All LeBron would have to do is win one and he would be God in Cleveland. One championship in Cleveland is worth more than seven in Miami. So do it for the Home team LeBron.
