The middle of March means one thing? March Madness and March Madness bring bracket challenges everywhere. With challenges everywhere, we the people have to make picks and no matter how much you know about basketball when March Madness hits we all don’t know anything about basketball, sometimes the less you know the better. God protects babies and fools right? So when picking your bracket it is better off being a fool.
My first paragraph was to highlight that every year a team will burn you and this year it was the Villanova Wildcats (Sorry Miggy). The Wildcats received a seemly well-deserved #1 seed in the East Region. The East region was a tossup region in my opinion, but I thought ‘Nova would be able to skate to the Final Four no disrespect to Louisville, Virginia and Michigan State. I was high on ‘Nova and after Saturday they made me look like a fool as they caught the fade by NC State 71-68 in the 3rd round.
So since yours truly had ‘Nova going to the Final Four my bracket is pretty much busted, my other three Final Four teams are still alive, but who likes going to the Sweet 16 with one of your Final Four picks already eliminated? You guessed it nobody does. Where is Scottie Reynolds when you need him? I like Jay Wright as a coach, but man ‘Nova got me this year and last year so when I get burnt too many times by the same team I give them the Georgetown treatment (always pick against them no matter the matchup).
Thanks ‘Nova I appreciate you making my bracket challenge that much harder to win. (I.E. this post was done in fun, but I’m still putting ‘Nova in the don’t pick section)
