It’s no secret that The Ohio State will be locked and loaded next season on a quest for a title repeat. Last season, the Bucks won the first inaugural College Football Playoff in large part due to the dominant play of Ezekiel Elliot. Elliot ran for 230 yards against Alabama in the Sugar Bowl and 246 yards in the title game against Oregon. While many people are guessing who will start at the quarterback position– I honestly think it doesn’t matter, because Elliot is in the backfield.
Elliot finished the season with 1,878 yards to go along with 18 touchdowns, which makes him one of the leading candidates to take home the Heisman trophy in the upcoming season. Elliot will have some competition in the Heisman race with whoever suits up at quarterback for the Bucks as well as players such as Connor Cook (MSU) and Treyvone Boykin (TCU).
