Gary Trent, Jr. has been dubbed as the best shooting guard in the 2017 class. Trent, Jr. has a basketball bloodline as his father Gary Trent was a first round draft pick in 1995 and had a solid career himself. The Columbus, Ohio native now plays in Apple Valley, MN and led his team to a 4A State Title as a Sophomore. Trent, Jr. stands at 6’5 and is viewed as the prototypical shooting guard that teams salivate over. Trent, Jr. is a knock down shooter, and he has the ability to put the ball on the floor and get to the basket and he is a more than willing defender. This past spring, Trent, Jr. put his full skills on display at the Nike EYBL as well as practicing with Team USA in Colorado Springs, Co.
The phones are heating up as Trent, Jr. continues to tear up the basketball court, and it’ll only continue as schools witness his whole arsenal of talent. Trent, Jr. is a 5-star recruit and he will likely have the opporutnity to chose whatever school that fits his skillset the best.
