Seth Towns of Columbus, Ohio (Northland High School) has been in the national spotlight for quite some time as being recognized as being of the best basketball players in the state of Ohio as well as in the country. Towns, who passed up playing college basketball at Ohio State and Michigan is set to take his talents to Harvard University.
Towns, who is a four-star recruit would have heated up the recruiting boards going into his senior year made an unlikely, but innovative decision to play at an Ivy League school. In today’s version of College Basketball dominated by one-and-done prospects it’s refreshing to see a top-notch player buck the normal trend of picking a top-tier basketball school. Head Coach Tommy Amaker has been a wonderful addition to Harvard, and with Towns making the decision to come to Harvard it won’t be the last time they will sign a four-star recruit.
Hats off to Seth Towns and the Towns family, we at The Front Office News would like to wish you all the best.
