Cincinnati has been a hotbed for transfers the last few years. From the likes of Mekale McKay, Jeff Luc and Gunner Kiel (I’m sure there are others), UC has been a great place for guys to make a name for themselves and this week two other big name players will be transferring to the team in Clifton.
Receiver Avery Peterson is leaving LSU for UC. The former 4-star recruit is the brother of star cornerback Patrick Peterson. Peterson was heading into his redshirt sophomore season, he will have to sit out a year, but because of the graduating class should have plenty of opportunity to play in the 2016 season.
Receiver Jamil Kamara is leaving Virginia to put on the black and red at UC, like Peterson. He is a former 4-star recruit whos is also heading into his sophomore season. He doesn’t have a famous brother, but Kamara will have a great chance at playing a lot for the Bearcats in the 2016 season.
The Bearcats have six receivers who will be graduating after the 2015 season (Mekale McKay, Chris Moore, Alex Chisum, Max Morrison, Johnny Holton and Shaq Washington) so both Peterson and Kamara will be welcomed additions and they will have a chance to play with Gunner Kiel if he chooses to stay for his senior season.
Welcome to Clifton Peterson and Kamara. Good luck in Cincy.
