The Cincinnati Bearcats basketball program has had a lot of big news as of late, first Mick Cronin goes to UCLA, then forward Rashawn Fredericks enters the transfer portal, followed by the hire of John Brannen, center Nysier Brooks enters the portal as well and now guard Jarron Cumberland declares for the NBA Draft. Honestly out of the other moves this was expected the most after the season the junior was the American Athletic Conference Player of the Year and first team All-Conference as a junior. With the new rules Cumberland has until May 29th to possibly return to school, if he decides to stay in the draft it will be a big blow to the program for the upcoming season, but if he stays in and gets drafted it is a great profile boost for the program.
The junior averaged 18.8 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game last season. He is already built for the next level standing 6’5″ and weighing 205 pounds. He plays well on or off the ball and does a good job creating for himself and others. We will keep an eye on this situation!
Jarron has decided to 𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 of the 𝗡𝗕𝗔 𝗗𝗿𝗮𝗳𝘁 process.
He can sign with an NCAA-certified agent, receive feedback & still 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹. He has until 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟵 to make a 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻.#Bearcats pic.twitter.com/vraRvtmMJq
