Senior safety Ja’von Hicks announced he was taking advantage of his extra year of eligibility. Last year Joel Dublanko, Coby Bryant, Curtis Brooks, Darrian Beavers and a few others took advantage of the extra year and it helped their future stock.
Will help a younger secondary have some stability being somebody who has had major playing time in multiple seasons. He finished the season with 56 tackles, 2.0 tackles for loss, two interceptions, three passes defensed and a fumble recovery.
