Former Bearcats’ LePore and Googins join Riley Decker

Per Riley Decker:

Riley Decker Companies has added two former UC Athletics leaders to their team:
Chris LePore, former Chief of Staff for Men’s Basketball, will join the Louisville region
in a National Account Manager role. Scott Googins, former Head Baseball Coach,
will work at Cincinnati Headquarters in Leadership and Sales.

LePore spent a decade in Division I college basketball. He worked for current UC
head coach Wes Miller dating back to 2014, where they spent 7 years together at
UNC Greensboro. He quickly worked his way from Graduate Manager to Assistant
Coach, and then became Chief of Staff when he followed Miller to UC.

LePore says it was CEO Kyle Decker’s vision and passion that initially drew him to
RD, and that connection grew deeper once he saw the “people-first” mission of the
company.

“I am thrilled to add Chris to our team. His energy for people and his work ethic
translate directly into our business and will give us a boost both internally and
externally. We have big growth plans for Chris and his journey here at Riley Decker
and are excited for his family to return back to Louisville where his wife Jen is from.”

Googins has over 15 years of Division I head coaching experience. During his tenure
at the helm with UC and Xavier he won just shy of 500 games, including six 30-win
seasons and 4 NCAA Tournament appearances. The Ohio native won conference
Coach of the Year twice in his career, and remains the all-time winningest coach at
Xavier.

Googins pointed to the leadership of CEO Kyle Decker as his reason for choosing
RD, as well as the overall company culture and “best is ahead” mindset..
“Scott and I are from the same hometown of Granville, OH just east of Columbus
and paths crossed in recent years here in Cincinnati. In the coaching profession and
local communities Scott is well respected for his leadership pedigree and ability to
develop and galvanize teams for positive results. This is a huge win for our company
for he is a proven winner and understands what it takes to drive an organization
forward.”

LePore and Googins are both in the midst of RD’s training program, learning the
business from the ground up prior to starting in their new roles.
