Wes Miller provides an injury update on Dan Skillings

Saturday night the Cincinnati Bearcats improved to (17-12, 6-10 Big 12) following their 74-72 victory over Kansas State. Now for Cincinnati, they got the job done without leading scorer Dan Skillings Jr, who was out due to a hip injury. Wes Miller provided an update on Skillings postgame following the 74-72 victory over Kansas State.

“Dan is so important to this team it’s a tremendous loss.,” said Wes Miller. “He had two great days of practice and then a freak thing popped up with his hip. It’s a freak thing, he is so important to this team. He does so many things that honestly don’t show up in the stat sheet with his activity, energy, and more. I thought our guys did a tremendous job of not trying to replace Dam, but everyone giving a little more to replace him collectively. He will get an MRI later this morning and we are hoping for the best.”

Dan Skillings has practiced every day but maybe one practice since arriving to Cincinnati,” Miller told reporters postgame. ” I have seen him roll his ankles and just lace up his shoes and keep going. He is tough as nails. He was in real pain this morning. I am concerned though. However, if he can play basketball, Dan Skillings will play basketball, but we have to get him back healthy.”
