The Cincinnati Bearcats will look go 4-0 on Saturday in their second game at Nippert Stadium versus Mid-American Conference foe Ohio Bobcats. The Bobcats come into the game 1-1 overall and are currently the Bearcats toughest opponent (at least from preseason predictions).
It is a big game at Nippert so I reached out to Jordan Rinard of Hustle Belt to talk about the Bearcats next opponent.
JS: On the offensive side of the ball who should the Bearcats be locked in on?
JR: Papi White is the most explosive player Ohio has and they will find ways to get him the ball. If OU can get the ground game going, look for him to get targets down the field off play action.
JS: Which unit on the defensive side of the is best?
JR: The defenses in this game are pretty good, but I feel like Ohio is in a better spot because they have had a program in place for a long time. Javon Hagan might be the best player on the field at safety, and he’ll get looks from the NFL.
JS: UC has already played a MAC team in Miami of Ohio, what does Ohio do better than their MAC partners?
JR: Ohio is pretty creative with what they do offensively. They get plenty of people involved and they have a ton of looks they can get to that can make the defense indecisive.
JS: Do you have a prediction for Saturday’s game?
JR: It’ll be a tight game. UC has the potential to bust some big plays, but Ohio is really sound with what they do. 20-17 Ohio in a nail biter.
