Bloomington South HS (IN) 2020 TE James Bomba enjoyed Nippert Stadium during visit

JS: How was your visit?

JB: My visit to UC went very well! I enjoyed meeting some of the coaches, learning about the program and
was most impressed by how the team played.

JS: Which coaches have you been in contact with? Do you know any players on the team?

JB: I’ve been in contact with Coach (Brian) Mason (Special Teams Coordinator), Coach (Steve) Stripling (Defensive Line) and Coach (Mike) Denbrock (Offensive Coordinator/Tight Ends). Coach Stripling was my dad’s position coach when he played at Indiana.

JS: How cool was a rocking Nippert Stadium?

JB: I was impressed by the atmosphere that the fans created and the stadium itself!

JS: Do you have an offer from UC? Which schools do you have offers from? Which are showing you interest?

JB: No, I don’t have an offer from UC. I have offers from Indiana State and Ball State at this point. Michigan State, Northern Illinois, Easter Michigan, Toledo, Western Michigan, Penn and Harvard have shown interest.

JS: How did your season go?

JB: We are still in the playoffs and have a regional game this Friday. As a team I feel that we are peaking at the right time.

JS: How would you describe your game?

JB: For me personally, I’m still growing, developing and improving my all around skills on both sides of the ball. I’m confident that my best football is still ahead of me!

JS: Do you have any other visits scheduled?

JB: I have plans to make it to Michigan State, Northern Illinois and Eastern Michigan, but that could be affected by how far our season goes.
