Sophomore running back Tavion Thomas announced via Twitter today that he’s entering the transfer portal.

Thomas played four games this season and was redshirting when making the decision, which makes him still eligible for sophomore status. He rand for 190 yards and a touchdown on 40 carries which places him currenly fourth on the team.
Thomas had a great freshman season taking advantage of the absence of Gerrid Doaks rushing for 499 yards on 89 carries for an average of 5.6 yards and six touchdowns.
Coming out of Dunbar High School (Dayton, Ohio), he was committed to Oklahoma until switching to Cincinnati. The 6’2″ 233 pound running back doesn’t lack talent and should have options to bounce back on his feet.
