Josh Whyle
Whyle is a 6’6” sophomore that every major college wanted. He has battled some injuries, but this year could be the year I think he has a strong shot be apart of the passing game. The big athletic tight end has all the tools to become something special for the Bearcats and beyond, but the unknown is unknown. Don’t count Whyle out as making an impact sooner than later.
Leonard Taylor
#BearcatNation got a glimpse of what Taylor can do last season as he make a few plays against Memphis late in the season. The 6’5” junior has a ton of talent and honestly as great as Deguara was, I believe the Springfield, Ohio can be even better. I don’t know if he will be as good in the blocking game, but in the passing game with his size, speed and quickness not too many defensive backs will want to tackle Taylor and linebackers as a whole may be too slow for him. During the few practices of Spring Ball, Taylor was a face that everyone recognized for making plays. I’m excited to see him take the next step in his Bearcats career.
Overall I think Taylor will be the main tight end, followed by Whyle and a mixture of Davis and Labelle. Davis and Labelle will be the vocal point of the run game, while I see Taylor and Whyle shinning in the passing game.
